Attention non-wealthy republican voters: Bush is laughing at how stupid you are.
Movie Ratings: I recently revisited Guy Ritchie’s “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” and “Snatch”, two very similar British crime capers featuring a huge cast with the greatest character names and convoluted plots (but still easy to follow thanks to the narration). 4.8 starfish out of 5 for both. Read Ebert’s reviews for “Lock..” and “Snatch”. Wiki on the movie “Snatch”. (And scroll down for my old Netflix review.)
Meet 13 year-old Chance.
Stuff You Should Know: How to catch a mouse without a mousetrap.
I did find a new shark yesterday, a gorgeous three foot smoothie. Also, I managed to finagle five three-day-old (roughly. I'm guessing.) spiny dogfish pups from a fisherman I ran into who was going to take them home to show his kids (where they would have died, I'm sure). He was nice enough to donate them to our center. They were pretty stressed out from being trapped and held but now they have a nice big 150 gallon tank to live in where we'll hopefully get them to start eating soon.
I made six trips over the Newport Bridge as well, so I kind of liked this related post called "The Turnpike Prank: How to Avoid Paying Tolls".
I love urban legends, and this one, a college entrance essay written by a high school student trying to get into NYU, is very funny and turns out to be true. Check out the ending. The kid got accepted. And if you read this, and like me didn't know what a "mouli" is, it's this.
