Tuesday coonhound blogging: Here’s Creole during a walk through John Chafee Nature Preserve at Rome Point Beach. This is the hot spot for seal watching in Rhode Island. We didn’t see any, but there were plenty of fish and she can’t help but chase them down. That’s the old Quonset Naval Base in the background, where the Quonset hut was developed. As usual, click to embiggen.
Tuesday Coonhound Blogging: Working on nighttime recall in the woods, but Creole's tracking something instead. You'll probably need to click to actually see her. I never realized her coloring is camouflage.
Look what I caught yesterday. She's the largest one I've seen so far, and we got her in about 600 feet of water. My local octopus has a life span of only one year, so she'll be dead by next June. I'm leaning towards "Ruby" unless I get a better suggestion for a name. Btw, I went with "Sapphire" for the blue lobster. Thanks Pablo.
