Ever since her prolonged and very painful bout of pancreatitis last winter, and the subsequent insanely odd skin condition that followed, Creole has turned into a different dog. Six months ago my vet said I had to give her up before I lost my business to a lawsuit. She's become completely unpredictable, and has bitten four people in the past few months (none seriously), and growled at many more. She's denning to the point that she even threatens me if I try to get her out of a corner or hiding place. I can't risk it.
So she's going to a no-kill shelter today. Hopefully she'll find a good home with someone who can spend more time training her than I can. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to do.
I'm sorry it had to come to this for you. As a lover of dogs myself, I know how wrenching such parting can be.

So sorry to hear this, but I'm so glad you had that shelter as an option. So many don't.

I'm not sure this is a good idea. If she can be dangerous then you might just be passing on a problem to an unknowing family. I once adopted a dog from a shelter that had undisclosed behavior problems. He started herding my toddler and eventually began to bite him. He bit him on the face.
I gave him to a rescuer that trained him to chase geese from gold courses.

it's a common affliction to imagine every condition is a problem that can be solved, if only xyz. a lot of problems can't be solved. and it's hell to lose a friend that way.
