This tale of surviving an avalanche is an incredible read, but the way the Times incorporated interactive media into the story is something I’ve never seen before. It’s not perfect, I had some trouble scrolling at times, but it’s a good effort.
Pet corner: Therapy dogs are being used to heal the wounds of surviving children in Newtown.
Hump day musical interlude: Everyone had a number one fantasy crush back in high school. Mine was Kim Carnes. It wasn’t even close.
We were going to try to get our dog Zeke certified, not as a therapy dog per se, but to allow him to visit nursing homes and such. But he was so hyper around strangers that he just was not suitable. Friendly, but way too enthusiastic.
