I was in middle school in the late seventies when I discovered Doonesbury. I immediately bought all the books, covering day one (October 26, 1970) up to 1982. I’ve been a daily reader since, traumatized (sort of) by Gary Trudeau’s 22-month hiatus from 1983 to 1984). Here’s a description of all the main characters that have appeared over the 33 years it’s run.
Animal of the week: Penguins chasing a butterfly.
Now we’re cookin’: Pancacon.
