And once again, Shark Week is seven nights of humans being attacked by sharks. Interspersed, if the past is any guide, by occasional brief PSAs in which famous people tell us that humans kill sharks with far greater frequency. Then, right back to the merciless-killing-machines-FEAR-THEM! programming.

Incredibly depressing. I suppose the only way we'll ever get programming about sharks, as opposed to humans, is if we almost wipe them out and there's no sharks left to attack humans for a while.
